Creativity, purpose, connection, and community
For nearly fifty years, members of the Quilt Guild of Greater Houston have used quilting to create beauty, preserve tradition, build friendships, and serve their community. Quilting brings people together. Friendships are formed around quilting tables. Knowledge is shared. Mentors teach beginners. Generations connect through a common craft.
At the Quilt Guild of Greater Houston, quilting is also a way to serve others.
Members create quilts for veterans, children, families facing hardship, patients undergoing medical treatment, and individuals experiencing loss or crisis. A handmade quilt offers warmth, comfort, and the powerful message that someone cares.
That is why we quilt.
Your support at Houston Joy of Quilts provides the means for QGGH to continue this important mission of serving others.
