About Houston Joy of Quilts

Houston Joy of Quilts is the signature biennial quilt show of the Quilt Guild of Greater Houston — Texas’ oldest and most vibrant quilting community. This juried and judged exhibition brings together hundreds of quilts and textile artworks, showcasing exceptional craftsmanship, creativity, and the enduring beauty of the quilting tradition.

More than an exhibition, Joy of Quilts is a gathering place for the quilting community and beyond. Visitors experience inspiring displays, a curated vendor marketplace, and opportunities to connect with makers, teachers, and enthusiasts who share a passion for the art of quilting.

At its heart, Houston Joy of Quilts reflects our guild’s mission: to share the art of quilting and to provide warmth and comfort to those in need. Proceeds support our outreach efforts, through which members donate hundreds of quilts each year to local charities, hospitals, shelters, and veterans.
