Why volunteer?

Houston Joy of Quilts is more than a quilt show — it is a celebration of creativity, community, education, and service. Every quilt displayed, every visitor welcomed, every ribbon awarded, and every dollar raised to support our mission is made possible by volunteers.

Members of the Quilt Guild of Greater Houston collectively donate more than 10,000 hours each year to preserve the art of quilting, educate future generations, and provide warmth and comfort to those in need. From planning and setup to admissions and take down, our show is organized, staffed, and operated entirely by volunteers.

Whether you are a long-time member or new to the guild, volunteering is one of the most rewarding ways to support our mission while spending time with fellow quilters who share your passion.
